Time to rethink what we put into our bodies I have maybe 3-4grams per day (sea or Himalayan) if you are on Keto or carnivore especially you’ll typically have lower sodium levels which is why it’s important to increase salt. Salt does not increase blood pressure. Insulin does.

What increases insulin?

Carbs

What does insulin do?

It tries to decrease blood sugar levels. Insulin also helps cells to grow. All cells, both good and bad. Insulin levels rise to keep the crazy amount of sugars that we put in our bodies each day into some sort of normal range. We are only supposed to have around a teaspoon of “sugars“ in our bloodstream, but many of us have hundreds of times more than that each and every day.

The constant high insulin levels (which allopathic medicine on the typical western medical field does not test for) Causes cells to grow, so our blood vessels and arteries become thicker and thicker, and our blood pressure goes up because they are not so flexible anymore. It should really be that we only eat what is natively available to us in our part of the land, and not eat fruits all year round.

The cycle is, as we are creatures of the earth and we are bound to rhythmic and cyclic living. In the summer fruits would grow on the trees locally, which we would scavenge and eat our insulin levels will rise.

Our blood pressure will go up. Our blood sugars will go up and we gain weight for the winter. When it’s winter, our food sources are a little bit more scarce, and we slowly begin to lose the weight that we put on over the end of the summer.

And we cycle like this through our lives. A built-in safety mechanism for living off of the land, that simply because we are now living in “modern times“ Does not mean that our bodies adjust so easily. We have a basic, underlying way of living, which is being mess with through modern out agriculture and farming and supermarkets that offer foods from all over the world all times of the year.

What creates bad things in the body?

Environmental toxins, but mostly what we ingest, especially processed foods and sugars. The glycation of proteins and lipids leading to the formation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs). This can cause damage to cells and contribute to the development of chronic diseases such as diabetes and Alzheimer's disease.

Another incredibly large issue is our thoughts. What we think and how we think and how much we think those negative thoughts that adversely affect every cell in our body. It’s called epigenetic‘s. We can think ourselves into cancer or depression, or failing organs and we can certainly think ourselves out. This might sound a bit woo woo for some of you, but research epigenetic‘s, what is it and what does it do.

Even if you focus just on salt for now, you can see that the lower salt increases all causes of death. But I would strongly suggest, removing as much sugar and as much refined and processed foods from your diet as humanly possible, if you want to live your best life.

All of this information is a rabbit hole of data. I’m fighting to get back on track again after the holidays but for the most part I’m there again. By the way, fasting? I fast every other day, and it is one of the greatest tools to fight cancer and Alzheimer’s to name but two.

I struggled for over 25 years trying not to eat so much. And one day I just snapped and tried a morning then extended it to the afternoon, then evening. The understanding that I could go single day without food. It may be one of the most powerful superpowers that I have (and anyone can do it)

I struggled for over 25 years with this… And the 13 medication’s that the hospital and the doctor put me on, are sitting in my cabinet. Unused.

I am in no way saying that my life is a bed of roses, and that all my woes are behind me, I have a lot of bad things I am trying to undo with my health, but it feels so good to be in charge a little bit more once again.
